I was born in a city whose earth gives birth to much gold and silver, where most women wear and show their jewelry proudly in daily life. No wonder this genetic fondness for sparkling beauty has flowed down to me since childhood. I loved searching for glowing oysters and natural stones in a river creek near an active volcano, finding fish and frog babies in little ponds after a heavy rain, and drawing happy princesses with jewelry and sparks of magical light. Many of my school books were fully furnished with those beautiful characters. Some Swiss women who know me and have seen my drawings have said that what I create is always beautiful.

Two Thousand Friendships, One Trusted Ear

Along the journey of my life — active at school, at university majoring in English Literature, in university student organizations, in national writing communities, in business seminars, and at work as a teacher and class teacher of girl students at three international boarding schools in two countries — I've gathered more than two thousand real friends, most of them female. From our genuine conversations, I've been recognized as someone who always gives honest, detailed feedback from perspectives they hadn't considered. I don't speak too much, but when someone came to me with their problems, I somehow became like a personal search engine, and they felt enlightened. It's not that I know everything — I gave my ears to listen, my shoulders to lean on, my arms to hug, and my hands to hold their secrets. I don't judge; I just help map out the possible gains and pains in whatever situation they were in.
